PHP Markdown Extra plugin for DokuWiki

PHP Markdown Extra syntax is great. DokuWiki is great. So how about combining these two? You’re welcome! Here’s the latest PHP Markdown Extra (1.2.5) plugin for Dokuwiki (version 2012-10-13 “Adora Belle” or later required).

You can install it directly via DokuWiki’s plugin manager by supplying the above URL. This new version (1-2/2013) features optional front matter setting, which allows Markdown Extra plugin to play nicely together with the Tag plugin. Thanks to Jiang Le for supplying this feature.

This new version (24th November 2012) features Header parser, Table of Contents and Backlinks. Thanks to Jiang Le for supplying these features. As previously, Markdown formatting is automatically used if the page name ends with .md suffix. Thanks to Andreas Gohr for supplying this feature.

Here’s PHP Markdown Extra (1.2.4) plugin for Dokuwiki (version 2009-12-25 “Lemming” or later required).

This new version (6th November 2010) automatically uses Markdown formatting if the page name ends with .md suffix. Thanks to Andreas Gohr for supplying this feature.

1.01

The above plugin works with DokuWiki 2009-12-25 “Lemming” and later versions. To work with older DokuWiki versions, here’s the original plugin (11th October 2009). It doesn’t look at the page name suffix, and requires explicitly marking Markdown blocks with <markdown>, </markdown> tags.
